Skin and Tanning Peptides
Tanning peptides and skin peptides are compounds studied in pigmentation and skin research. This page has Melanotan 1 and Melanotan 2, the copper peptide GHK-Cu, and the GLOW and KLOW blends that combine GHK-Cu with BPC-157 and TB-500.

What are tanning peptides?
Melanotan 1 and Melanotan 2 are both analogs of alpha-MSH, the hormone that signals pigment cells. Melanotan 1 is a straight 13-residue chain that targets one receptor, MC1R. Melanotan 2 is a smaller ring-shaped peptide that hits several melanocortin receptors. GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide with decades of skin and connective tissue research behind it.
These tanning peptides are sold for laboratory research only and aren’t approved for human use.

Melanotan 1 or Melanotan 2?
If your study needs a selective MC1R agonist, Melanotan 1 is the one. If it needs broad melanocortin activity, Melanotan 2. For skin research without the melanocortin angle, look at GHK-Cu or the GLOW blend. PubChem has the full record for Melanotan 2.
Storing and handling tanning peptides
Keep sealed vials in the fridge at 36 to 46 °F (2 to 8 °C) and away from light until you need them. When you reconstitute, let the vial reach room temperature, add the solvent slowly down the inside wall and swirl gently until it’s clear. Don’t shake it. Label each vial with the date you mixed it, and keep mixed vials cold. Each product page lists any compound that needs special handling, such as freezing or DMSO.

Tanning peptides FAQ
What’s the difference between Melanotan 1 and 2?
