What is DSIP?
Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu. Its formula is C35H48N10O15 and it weighs 848.81 g/mol. A Swiss group first isolated it in 1977 from the blood of rabbits kept in induced sleep, which is where the name comes from.
It has both water-loving and water-repelling parts, so it’s described as amphiphilic. The tryptophan at the start gives it a UV absorbance that labs use to identify it.

What researchers study DSIP for
DSIP has been looked at in sleep and stress research in animals since the late 1970s, though its exact receptor still isn’t known. It’s for lab research only. See NIH PubChem.
How to store DSIP
Keep DSIP refrigerated at 36 to 46 °F (2 to 8 °C). It dissolves in water. Keep it cold after mixing.
Most labs reconstitute with Research Water, which is sterile-filtered water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol.
When it’s time to reconstitute, let the vial come to room temperature first. Add the solvent slowly down the inside wall of the vial so it doesn’t hit the powder directly, then swirl gently until the liquid is clear. Don’t shake it. Write the date on the label so you know how long it’s been mixed.
DSIP 10mg price and pack sizes
