Description
KPV 10mg from Oath Peptides is a lysine-proline-valine tripeptide (CAS 67727-97-3) from the tail of alpha-MSH, supplied as freeze-dried powder. Each vial holds 10mg and costs $65. It’s sold for laboratory research only and ships from our warehouse in Gilbert, Arizona, with 2-day shipping on every order.

What is KPV?
KPV is a three-amino-acid peptide: lysine (K), proline (P) and valine (V). It has the formula C16H30N4O4, a molecular weight of 342.43 g/mol and CAS number 67727-97-3. Those three residues are positions 11 to 13 of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH), a 13-amino-acid neuropeptide made in the pituitary.
KPV came out of work that tried to pin down which parts of alpha-MSH were responsible for which effects. It’s the last three residues of that hormone, and it’s small enough to be one of the simplest peptides on our list.

What researchers study KPV for
Most of the KPV peptide literature looks at inflammatory signaling in gut and skin cell models and in rodents. It’s sold for laboratory research only. Identifiers are on KPV on NIH PubChem.
How to store KPV
Store the vial in the fridge at 36 to 46 °F (2 to 8 °C). Reconstitute with research water before lab use and keep the solution cold.
Most labs reconstitute with Research Water, which is sterile-filtered water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol.
When it’s time to reconstitute, let the vial come to room temperature first. Add the solvent slowly down the inside wall of the vial so it doesn’t hit the powder directly, then swirl gently until the liquid is clear. Don’t shake it. Write the date on the label so you know how long it’s been mixed.
KPV 10mg price and pack sizes
