The BPC-157 peptide is probably the most talked-about research peptide there is. It’s a short, synthetic chain of 15 amino acids, and it’s unusually stable for its size. This guide covers what BPC-157 is, where it came from, what the published research looks at and how to store it.

What is the BPC-157 peptide?
BPC stands for Body Protection Compound. BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide with the sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val. Its formula is C62H98N16O22, its molecular weight is 1,419.53 g/mol and its CAS number is 137525-51-0.
The sequence comes from part of a larger protein found in human gastric juice, first described in the early 1990s. BPC-157 itself doesn’t occur on its own in nature. Every vial is made by solid-phase peptide synthesis and freeze-dried into a white powder.
Why BPC-157 is unusual
Two properties stand out. It dissolves easily in water, and it stays stable across a wide pH range. Most peptides of its size break down quickly in acid. That stability is part of why it’s been studied so much.
What BPC-157 research covers
Most of the published work on BPC-157 comes from animal models and cell culture. Labs have looked at tendon, ligament, muscle and gut tissue. To be clear, none of it has led to an approved drug, and the peptide isn’t cleared for human or veterinary use. If you want to read the literature, a PubMed search for BPC-157 is the place to start, and PubChem has the identifiers.
BPC-157 on its own or in a blend?
Many labs study BPC-157 next to TB-500, which is why blends exist. Oath Peptides sells:
- BPC-157 5mg and BPC-157 10mg as single vials or packs
- The Wolverine BPC-157 TB-500 blend, 1:1, in 10mg and 20mg
- Wolverine Plus, which adds KPV
- The GLOW and KLOW blends, which add GHK-Cu
Our TB-500 blends comparison puts all four side by side.
How to store and reconstitute BPC-157
Keep sealed vials in the fridge at 36 to 46 °F (2 to 8 °C), away from light. For longer storage, a freezer is better. When you reconstitute, let the vial reach room temperature, add Research Water slowly down the inside wall, then swirl gently. Don’t shake it. Keep the mixed vial cold and use it within a few weeks.
Choosing a BPC-157 peptide vial size
For a single pilot experiment, a 5mg vial is usually enough. For longer work, the 10mg vial gives you more material from one batch, and the 3, 6 and 12 packs cut the price per vial by 10, 15 and 20 percent. Every vial in a pack comes from the same batch, which keeps your results easier to compare.
If your protocol pairs BPC-157 with TB-500, compare the cost of buying both singly with the Wolverine blend. The blend saves a reconstitution step, but singles let you set your own ratio.

BPC-157 peptide FAQ
Is BPC-157 a natural peptide?
Its sequence comes from a gastric juice protein, but BPC-157 itself is made synthetically. It doesn’t occur on its own in nature.
What strengths of BPC-157 do you sell?
5mg and 10mg vials, each as a single vial or a 3, 6 or 12 pack. BPC-157 is also in four of our blends.
How should BPC-157 be stored?
In the fridge at 2 to 8 °C, away from light, or frozen for longer storage.
